My research interest is in assessing the impact of agrochemicals and biological nitrification inhibitors on nitrifying bacteria and archaea.

Arianna Farolfi
PhD student
arianna.farolfi@univ-lyon1.fr
I am investigating the interactions between methanotrophs and their viruses in soils and the impact on carbon cycling.

Rakshita Govind
Postdoc
rakshita.govind@univ-lyon1.fr
Currently I am working on isolation of ammonia oxidizing bacteria (AOB) from soil. The aim of my work is to understand the interaction of bacteriophages with their AOB hosts to inhibit nitrification and reduce nitrogen pollution in the environment.

(Mia) Sungeun Lee
Postdoc
sungeun.lee@univ-lyon1.fr
My research focus is on understanding virus-host interactions in soil. Using a combination of techniques, such as DNA-SIP, metagenomics and bioinformatic analyses, I aim to link viruses with their hosts to study spatiotemporal dynamics and virus-host range.

Huaiyu Wang
PhD student
huaiyu.wang@ec-lyon.fr
My current research interests are in understanding the coevolution and adaptation of prokaryotes and viruses in soil.

Yuanyuan Zhang
PhD student
yuanyuan.zhang@ec-lyon.fr
My research interests are in investigating the diversity and distribution of soil RNA viruses and in determining the impact of RNA virus-host interactions on major biogeochemical cycles within soil ecosystems.
